Individual Therapy

As a relationship therapist I work with individuals as well as couples. Individual counselling offers a confidential and safe space to explore issues that may be causing difficulties or unhappiness in your life.

The place to start in building relationships is to have a greater understanding of oneself.

Common issues include:

  • Relationship issues when the partner won’t attend
  • Problems in finding the ‘right’ partner
  • Difficulties in forming a long term relationship
  • Separation and loss
  • Bereavement
  • Sexual issues
  • Feeling low and unhappy or feeling anxious and depressed
  • Work pressures

    I suggest an initial assessment and if ongoing counselling is appropriate, it is usually on a weekly basis. Counselling can be for a fixed number of sessions or can take place over a longer period of time. This is decided in conjunction with the individual at the first session.
